After several years of extensive travel as a real estate franchise executive, returned to his first love: mountain and recreational real estate. Actively involved in the community, he served as Director of John C. Fremont Hospital, Past President of the Board of Realtors and the Mariposa Rotary Club, Member of State Congressman Montieth's Business Advisory Board, and active in the Mariposa Economic Development Commission. Gene enjoys football, automobiles, and initiated a project which takes a group of Mariposa students to Mexico each year to build an orphanage.
